JUDGEMENT

Angels feature on several Tarot cards, including The Lovers, The Wheel of Fortune, Temperance and Judgement.  Here we will look into the meaning of Judgement, a dramatic major arcana card featuring the Archangel Gabriel.

Image: The Archangel Gabriel blows his trumpet as naked women, men and children rise in glory.  There is a feeling of release and all that has passed has now been dealt with.  A new dawn is about to break.

If you have recently been through a period of struggle and frustration, then things are about to change.  Decisions are being made that will release you from previous errors or judgement.  This is a card of breakthrough, though your journey to this point has not been easy.

The Archangel Gabriel is our protector and guardian and with his energy looking after you, you need not fear.  Gabriel cuts through illusions and allows us to see clearly what we need to be aware of.  Although the journey to the Judgement card can be stressful, the outcome is one of huge relief.

If you feel that you are being judged, maybe now is the time to confront the perpetrators, there may have been a misunderstanding, which needs to be put right.  Of course it may be that you are the one who is being judgemental.  If this is the case, be aware that we do not necessarily know other people’s circumstances, even if we think we do.  Whatever the reasons, there is no room in your life for this now, you have a more important journey to begin.

If you are carrying guilt, you must find a way to release it and let it go.  A new phase of your life is about to open, but it cannot begin until you deal with what is holding you back.  You may have been dwelling on a situation and your mind may have been in turmoil, but what is done is done.

Judgement is here not to judge you, but to set you free.  It is important to understand that any decisions you made in the past, but now regret, were the right one’s to take at that moment.  If things did not go the way you planned, let this go now, as the Universe has a different plan for you.

This card suggests you are ready for a fresh start, ready to throw away the shackles that bind you and seek fulfilment for your highest good.  The judgement card suggests a breakthrough, so work out what is stopping you from reaching you true potential and make life happen in a way that will enable you to fulfil your hopes and dreams.

Reversed: Delay, disappointment.

Affirmation: ‘I am optimistic about my future.  This is the time for me to be what I want to be.’
